K-138 is a short spur highway which connects Paxico to Interstate 70 (I-70) and U.S. Route 40 (US-40) just west of the town.

Route description

K-138 begins at a T-intersection where the eastbound and westbound entrance and exit ramps for I-70 / US-40 meet west of Paxico. From the intersection the route heads due east through the flat farm fields of the Great Plains. There are no homes along the route until it enters Paxico. The route ends abruptly at the city limit sign located at the corner of 1st Street and Kansas Avenue.[2]
